View our pics from Amish Country

Saturday, April 26 - Amish Country 7:45 am - 5:30 pm.  We visited Amish country and took a back roads tour!  Following a short film about the history of Amish country, we stopped at a farm and rode in an Amish buggy.  Lunch was wonderful -  chicken, roast beef, mashed potatoes & gravy, salad, veggies, homemade breads with peanut butter spread and homemade pies.  Afterwards, we visited August Forge.  Thanks for a great trip!

Choose and paint a piece of pottery!

Sunday, July 13 from 3-5 pm.  We will meet at Clay Cafe in Grandview.  This is located at 1431 W. 3rd Avenue, Columbus, 43212.  Be sure to print yourself a map!  If you will be using the highways to get there, you might consider exiting Lane Avenue off of 315, taking Kenny Rd. South to West 5th and then Grandview south to W 3rd.  Otherwise, you might consider exiting Grandview Avenue off of 670.  If I can help anyone with maps, let me know!  The Cafe is located on the south side of the street and sits back a little behind another business.  I will try to place balloons out front that day to make the “spotting” of it easier!  You can visit the website:  http://www.claycafecolumbus.com/ClayHome1.htm, for more information.  There is a minimum cost of $15 to paint something very simple/small.  Other items will be available too.  You can expect to spend between $15 and $30.  Come in a creative mood and please let Catherine know if you will NOT be coming.  Try to be on time as the shop closes at 5 and you want to be sure that you have time to finish!  Although they have aprons to wear, the paint will stain so don’t wear your favorite shorts!  See you there!
